April 25, 2025 – Warmer days are right around the corner and to ring in the start of the season, Armada Music has launched a new project to embody the essence of summer all year round: Summer Is Calling. The series unveils chill, lounge versions of iconic tracks from the Armada Music and BEAT Music Fund catalog designed for relaxing, unwinding and basking in sun-soaked nostalgia.
Alongside the project’s dedicated releases, Armada Music TV has launched a YouTube channel, Summer Is Calling 24/7, featuring 24 hours of uninterrupted ambient, chill, downtempo and Afro house music, seven days a week. The channel will broadcast the Summer Is Calling interpolations, such as Sultan + Shepard, Nadia Ali and iRO’s ‘Almost Home’ and Karen Overton’s ‘Your Loving Arms’, as well as a selection of chill electronic dance music tracks from the label’s extensive catalog.
Today sees the release of the third Summer is Calling track, a rework of Inner City’s world-renowned 1988 hit ‘Good Life’. Trading the classic house energy of the original for a laid-back groove, this breezy summer soundscape feels both familiar and refreshingly new—perfect for the ultimate summer day.
