September 20, 2024 – “Don’t be a prisoner of your own style.” These words, first uttered by Armin van Buuren fifteen years ago in a video interview, have become rather famous in the dance music space over the years. The Dutchman’s open-mindedness toward other genres has been at the heart of his success, leading him to become one of electronic music’s most versatile and adaptive creators whilst still catering to the fans of his original trance sound. And today, Armin van Buuren enters into a new artistic chapter, tapping into Afro house for a brand-new single featuring Louis III: ‘Part Of Me’.
Inspired by various Afro house remixes on some of his own tracks, Armin van Buuren explores new sonic territory with ‘Part Of Me’, a late-summer Afro-dance hit made in tandem with rising dance pop star Louis III. The latter brings a spirited vocal performance that pairs perfectly with Armin's masterful melodics, blending vibrancy and warmth to great effect. ‘Part Of Me’ is both soulful and irresistible danceable, with a raw, rhythmic pulse that drives the song forward.
“Many years ago, I found that there’s something to love in every single genre, no matter the style of music you prefer as a whole,” says Armin van Buuren. “I’ve had the pleasure of having some of my original tracks pushed in the Afro house space by some insanely talented remixers, and what got me and inspired me was the soulfulness and warmth the genre offers in spades. I felt compelled to channel this, and I’m glad I crossed paths with Louis III to make this happen. I’m super proud of ‘Part Of Me’ and can’t wait for the world to hear it!”
Written by Louis III, ‘Part Of Me’ is about the magnetic pull between two people: a blend of yearning, love and the undeniable connection that sparks when bodies meet. The London-based artist, who has built quite the online presence with his quirky personality and clever song flips, wanted the lyrics to feel as effortless and honest as the entire studio process with Armin has been. “Armin van Buuren is an icon of dance music. Period. He's a legend who has crafted some of my all-time favorite tracks, and I can’t believe I got to make this incredible song with him. It’s a dream come true, and I am so excited for the world to hear ‘Part of Me’. It makes my face screw up in a good way every time I play it.

From the vibrant streets of Croydon to the pulse of dance floors across Europe, Louis III is a name you won’t forget. A South London original with a flair for edgy, infectious dance-pop, Louis III is turning heads and breaking boundaries with his unapologetically queer artistry and undeniable talent.
It all started with a Soundcloud upload during his final year of uni—a track thrown into the digital void, never meant to make waves. But within a week, the music industry was knocking, with ten labels vying for the unknown kid’s sound. That was the spark. But it was on TikTok where Louis III truly found his voice, both musically and personally. As his follower count skyrocketed to 690k, so did his confidence, both as an artist and as a queer individual finding his footing in the dance music world.
Louis III is no stranger to the stage—whether it’s his own sold-out headline shows, supporting fellow LGBTQ+ powerhouse GIRLI on a UK and European tour, or dazzling crowds at Mighty Hoopla, Parookaville, and Pride festivals. His electrifying performances and striking stage looks make it impossible to look away.
With over 250 million streams, a standout collaboration with Sigma on "Anywhere" racking up 80 million streams, and tracks like 'Samba' and 'Pretty Little Lies' lighting up German airplay charts, Louis III’s sound is as bold as his fashion. Praised by i-D, Wonderland, HighSnobiety, and even handpicked by Virgil Abloh to walk for Louis Vuitton, his reach extends far beyond music.
