KI/KI Teams Up with Armada Music for the Next Chapter of Self-Founded Label, slash; Releases Latest EP
The renowned DJ and producer’s latest EP: ‘slash 010,’ will release as part of an ongoing joint venture with independent dance music powerhouse, Armada Music
Amsterdam, NL - June 28, 2024 – Armada Music, the biggest independent dance music label in the world is excited to announce a long-term partnership with Amsterdam-based DJ and producer KI/KI and her burgeoning self-founded label, slash. The announcement coincides with the release of KI/KI’s latest EP: ‘slash 010,’ which is part of the joint venture.
In the partnership, Armada Music will work closely with KI/KI and her team on A&R, label management, distribution, and promotion/marketing for upcoming slash releases, leveraging its global footprint and twenty-plus years of experience in the dance scene. The first outcome of the joint venture deal is KI/KI's eagerly awaited EP, titled ‘slash 010’. From the pulsating bass, dreamy pads and feisty acid chunks in ‘5 Mins Of Acid’ — a nod to her 5HRS OF ACID live concept and a staple in her recent sets, namely her Boiler Room at AVA Festival — to the ceaseless pounding of ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘slash010’ showcases KI/KI’s unique sound: fast yet dreamlike, futuristic yet nostalgic, intense yet always euphoric.
"Partnering with KI/KI and her label is an exciting venture for Armada Music. KI/KI's innovative approach to music and her deep connection with the underground scene make her a unique force in the industry,” said Maykel Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music Group. “We are thrilled to work collaboratively with her, combining our expertise in A&R, distribution, and marketing to elevate 'slash' and bring her visionary sound to an even broader audience. This long-term partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic dance music."
From Amsterdam’s vibrant underground scene to the world’s most iconic techno temples, KI/KI is leading a new rave resurgence. Her unique sound, shaped by the time-tested elements of trance, acid, and techno, is a blend of fast-paced, dreamlike, futuristic, yet nostalgic rhythms that remain euphoric. Her impact is evident through unforgettable all-nighters, her ‘5HRS OF ACID’ series, viral Boiler Room sets, and performances at legendary venues such as Berghain and Bassiani, as well as major festivals like Awakenings and Pitch Music & Arts. Notably, KI/KI performed a surprise back-to-back set with Armin van Buuren during the 2023 installment of ADE, at the historic prison-turned-venue De Bajes.
This partnership with Armada Music marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for slash and promises to bring KI/KI’s visionary sound to an even wider audience. KI/KI is the latest female artist to team up with Armada as part of its ongoing mission to elevate and empower female artists across the industry.

From Amsterdam’s fertile underground to techno temples around the world, KI/KI is at the forefront of a new rave insurrection.
Shaped by the time-tried fundamentals of trance, acid and techno, she subtly constructs her own signature: a sound realm that’s fast but dreamlike, futuristic but nostalgic, severe but – at all times – euphoric.
Starting out as a resident DJ at queer stronghold Spielraum back in 2018, KI/KI has rapidly evolved into a nightlife bastion of her own. In the past years she’s made a mark with unforgettable all-nighters, curating her own ‘KI/KI invites’ series, upsurging Boiler Room views, and causing dancefloor frenzy from Säule to Bassiani to ∄.
As an artist, collaboration and community are essential to KI/KI’s craft. While festival stages and warehouses have become her second home, her heart still beats the loudest for the dark and intimate fringes of nightlife. Beyond music, this artistry bleeds into all forms of collaboration; resulting in, among others, her ‘not for sleeping’ project with Amsterdam fashion collective The New Originals.
slash, the newly founded label by KI/KI, aims at releasing neat sounds at the edge of trance and techno. With an ambition to present new music while still attaching a real importance to her beloved ‘90s sounds, this label will be a mix of projects from both emerging artists together with those from back in the day.
On the verge of releasing her highly anticipated tracks as well as – spoiler alert – the buried treasures of like-minded producers, the storm that’s KI/KI is only just picking up.
