ARMIN VAN BUUREN, FERRY CORSTEN, RANK 1 AND RUBEN DE RONDE DROP TRACK TO CELEBRATE EPISODE 1150 OF A STATE OF TRANCE RADIO
September 22, 2023 – Collaborating with long-time friends and fellow flagbearers is the perfect setup for an inspired audial adventure, especially when it’s for the official anthem of one of trance’s biggest annual events. For the 2024 instalment of A State of Trance - which celebrates the milestone number of 1150 episodes of the brand’s legendary radio show and also sees the event series move into its new home in Rotterdam - Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben de Ronde joined forces to create the event’s official track: ‘Destination’.

Made in June 2023 during a livestreamed three-day studio session that gave fans the opportunity to share feedback and gain rare insight into the production process (all sessions are available to watch back via YouTube), the official anthem for A State of Trance 2024 is as epic as you’d expect from a link-up between trance mainstays Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben de Ronde. Chock-full of energy, euphoria and uplifting appeal, ‘Destination’ will be the go-to track for trance fans from all over the world celebrating this new milestone for A State of Trance.
“We’re still buzzing ourselves, to be honest,” said Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1’s Benno de Goeij and Ruben de Ronde when asked what it’s like to create the official anthem for A State of Trance live together. “Despite having been friends, colleagues and likeminded trance music enthusiasts for years, it took a while before we were finally able to do something like this with everyone in the same room; it was such a blast to finally get in the zone together and make this work, even more so because our fans were able to watch us live. The creative spark and euphoria were there from the get-go; we had a lot of fun and ‘Destination’ is all we wanted it to be. We hope everyone will love this official anthem for A State of Trance 2024!”
Launching an official A State of Trance anthem has been a yearly tradition since the first anthem for A State of Trance 450, ‘450’ by Sebastian Brandt, was released back in 2010. Since then, official anthems have been released every year, such as Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz’s ‘The Expedition’ (for A State of Trance 600), Ben Gold’s ‘I’m In A State Of Trance’ (for A State of Trance 750), Armin van Buuren’s ‘Turn The World Into A Dancefloor’ (for A State of Trance 1000), Armin van Buuren and Cosmic Gate’s ‘REFLEXION’ (for A State of Trance 1100) and now ‘Destination’ by Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben de Ronde.
