Our ADE program is just around the corner, and Armin van Buuren’s Ibiza 2023 mix album is on its way
This week we look ahead to our biggest ADE program to date, with a mix of panels, sets and special events across the week of October 18-22, and elsewhere we give some love to some music on the more chilled end of dance music’s offering, including tracks from Armin van Buuren’s forthcoming 2023 Ibiza mix album. Please read on for more details or visit our newsroom:
We kindly ask that you do not publish any information before embargo - which in most cases is a track/album's release date - unless pre-agreed. If in doubt, please contact Mimi or Charlotte.
We are just over a month away from Amsterdam Dance Event, and we are so excited that this year we will host our biggest program to date! From a very special ‘20 Years of Armada Music’ panel with our very own Armin van Buuren, CEO and co-founder Maykel Piron, and COO of BEAT Music Fund Nadine van Bodegraven, to a networking event at our home, this year promises something for everyone.
Elsewhere across the week our artists will be performing at a number of events including a very special ‘Armada In The Mix’ - Armada’s flagship livestreaming arm – broadcast from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, a night at Lagerwal in Amsterdam North digging into the deeper side of the progressive sound under Armada’s ‘Electronic Elements’ sublabel, as well as an ‘Armada Invites’ at our HQ on the Friday night, where we have invited a number of artists to perform in our very own club. We will be sharing full line-ups and details next week, but in the meantime please reach out if you have any questions.
But before we kickstart the clubbing season, we’re taking some time to relax with a handful of our more chilled forthcoming releases. Dutch favourite Nick Schilder has recorded a special acoustic version of his solo debut ‘Shatterproof’ that is dropping on Friday, and elsewhere Armin van Buuren has mixed 14 of his favourite Ibiza tracks that will appear on the first part of ‘A State of Trance Ibiza 2023, Mixed by Armin van Buuren’: 'On The Beach'. The three-part mix series hits down this Friday. Our very own Maykel Piron has also selected his favourite tracks from artists such as Dennis Ferrer, Tensnake and Jan Blomqvist for Vol. 27 of his ‘Chill Executive Officer’ compilation series. Amongst the huge summer heaters, we do still manage to find some downtime! For more information on any of these projects, please contact Charlotte.
Please scroll down for our latest releases, recent news and upcoming show schedule - we'd love to see you at something soon!
Driven by a standout chord progression and a sweet, hopeful vocal presence, the third single of ARTY’s forthcoming second album immediately puts listeners on the edge of their seats. Indicative of ARTY’s change in sound, ‘Jump’ urges all to take a leap of faith every once in a while.
Setting foot in a packed club for the first time is a truly transformative experience. The flashing lights, the hyped-up crowd, the pounding bass that ripples through the space... nothing compares to that inaugural euphoria, and that’s exactly what Armin van Buuren invokes with his new single: ‘Lose This Feeling’.
An upbeat offering reminiscent of early-‘90s trance, Trance Wax’s ‘The Story’ expertly marries the nostalgic with the contemporary. Flaunting uplifting pads, old-school synths and a catchy vocal hook atop a brisk beat, this track instantly takes listeners back to the days of old whilst staking its claim on the dance floors of today.
The follow-up to ‘Rockstar’, Supermassive’s sophomore release on Armada Music oozes with dance-pop appeal. Seeing the French duo join forces with vocalist Ben Boas again, ‘Deep Inside’ marries a strong beat, rousing chords and an equally potent vocal performance to hook listeners in the blink of an eye.
Joining a string of remixes from various high-profile artists over the years, Chicane’s ultimate trance classic ‘Saltwater’ gets reimagined by London-based staple act Ilan Bluestone. With Ilan’s signature drive bass and uplifting synths elevating the U.K.-charting original, this rework guarantees maximum euphoria that will last a lifetime.
Over in Ibiza, Armin van Buuren just just kicked off his four Sundays at the legendary Ushuaïa which sees him joined by friends and fellow DJs such as D.O.D, Laura van Dam and Fedde Le Grand. For more information and media requests please contact Charlotte.
