Tuesday, August 20, 2024 - London, UK – Multifaceted artist Will Clarke, renowned for his contributions to electronic music as a producer, DJ, podcaster, and Grammy-nominated songwriter, is pleased to announce the upcoming release of his debut album, ‘Midnight Mass’, set to drop on November 8, 2024, via long-term partner Armada Music. The album will be accompanied by an innovative live show concept, debuting in November in conjunction with the album release.
‘Midnight Mass’ encapsulates music as a unifying force, both through fostering creative collaborations with fellow artists during the writing and recording process and through bringing people together on the dancefloor. Will Clarke’s career has been built on a foundation of supporting others and creating a collaborative environment where teamwork enhances artistic output, and ‘Midnight Mass’ is the ultimate reflection of this.
Although he maintains a solo artist project, Will Clarke thrives on the synergy of collaborating with others. The thirteen-track album features collaborations with renowned songwriters such as Blythe, Hayla, Julia Church, Mitch Jones, Sharlene Hector, and Clementine Douglas. Tracks like ‘Weekend Love,’ featuring the esteemed House Gospel Choir, highlight Will Clarke’s ability to blend casual listening with dance floor energy, paying homage to his signature blend of house and techno while showcasing his songwriting talents. In addition to the album, Will Clarke will embark on a tour of major US cities at the end of the year, presenting his brand-new live show. The tour will be Will Clarke’s first venture into live performance and will be a cinematic experience spanning six cities across North America.
Will Clarke said: “I'm tipping my hat to the sound that has defined me so far, but this collection of songs goes beyond just being suitable for a DJ set. I wanted each track to have a strong vocal presence and to work both in a club setting and for casual listening. Collaborating with unbelievably talented artists, who became close friends during the process, was the most important part of making this album. I hope that sense of collaboration shines through in the music.”
In addition to the album, Will Clarke hosts the renowned ‘The Will Clarke Podcast,’ now approaching its fifth anniversary, boasts over 200 episodes featuring engaging conversations with industry leaders such as Carl Cox, Duke Dumont, Mochakk, London Grammar, and many more. In celebration, the podcast will make a special appearance at ADE this year, with more details to be revealed soon.
