Born in 1982 with a big passion for music! Which resulted in his first released production in 1999!
In 2007 he started his solo career with his own unique alias: Maarten de Jong. Which resulted in the first release: Massive!
‘Massive’ brought with it a quick-fire raft man of support from DJs including new Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Sander Van Doorn. ‘Mono’, which was released in 2008 on Sander van Doorn’s Doorn Records scored a No.1 slamdunk on Beatport’s chart.
His studio skills resulted in some highly-lauded releases on various labels like, Spinnin Records, Outburst Records, Black Hole recordings Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit Label and more.
From 2018 things started to shape up nicely with the release of his track “goodbye” on Outburst Records! Maarten sound was noticed by Armin van Buuren and his team and there it was the first release on the Who’s afraid of 138 imprint on Armada Music. Caffeine (with Allen Watts) After that he remixed Corti Organ - The Joker that track gained massive worldwide support and dominated the dancefloors and dj playlists for a long time. This resulted into remixing Armin van Buuren - Stick Up and a residency on Who’s Afraid Of 138 Music with releases like: Stroopwafels on Acid, Intense and X2. Armin van Buuren played X2 for more than a year in all his sets! All this work on Armada Music resulted in an exclusive record deal with the record company and the releases just keep on coming tunes like Atom, Phase One, La Nuit, Evolve and more keep on pushing Maarten’s unique sound, a blend of Techno, Trance, House and lot of other genre’s, you just can’t pigeon hole Maarten.
With having such an unique sound he gained support from various artists ranging from BlasterJaxx, Kryder, Sander Van Doorn, Tiesto and trance guru’s such as Sean Tyas and Armin Van Buuren and even his productions are known inside the Techno scene. This resulted in doing remixes for classics like coast 2 coast feat discovery - home and Chakra - Love shines through.
In 2023 Maarten continues to bring his sound to the labels of Armada Music and he will be back on tour showing his dj skills and music to the world!
