Bloom Twins Team Up with Techno Icon Reinier Zonneveld on Debut Collaboration: ‘Mama Maria’

The genre-blending release signals a new sonic venture for both artists

Friday, June 6, 2025 - Techno powerhouse Reinier Zonneveld has joined forces with Ukrainian dance-pop duo Bloom Twins for their debut collaboration, ‘Mama Maria’, out today via Armada Music. Marking an exciting new sonic direction for both acts, the track blends Zonneveld’s signature production finesse with the Bloom Twins’ ethereal vocals for a magnetic, genre-blurring anthem perfectly suited for sun-drenched days to come.

Renowned Dutch DJ/producer and Filth on Acid label head Reinier Zonneveld has been a force in the techno world for years, earning widespread acclaim for his innovative live sets, including his own R² Festival, returning for its second edition this summer in the Netherlands. While celebrated for his hard techno sounds and high-impact live performances, Zonneveld is, above all, a musician – unbound by genre. With ‘Mama Maria’, Zonneveld showcases a different side of his artistry, delivering an irresistibly groovy house track that’s both unexpected and instantly infectious.

“When the Bloom Twins reached out to work together, the track immediately caught my attention and I couldn’t wait to be on board,” says Reinier Zonneveld. “I’m super excited to showcase a more housy sound, and the Bloom Twins really killed the vocals. It was a no-brainer to collaborate with them and I’m really proud of the final product.”

Identical twins Sofia and Anna Kuprienko, known as the Bloom Twins, have long been seen as one inseparable unit – until now. First discovered at sixteen by a model scout and swiftly swept into the fashion world, they’ve since become entrenched in London’s vibrant art, fashion and music scenes. Now, they’ve rebranded, with Sofia dying her hair platinum blond and Anna sporting a short buzz cut in a striking statement of their respective individuality. As multi-dimensional artists, they’re stepping boldly into the electronic music space, redefining their sound and identity.

"Mama Maria is one of our favorite records we’ve ever worked on – it’s that track you blast when logic and emotions just don’t work together,” says Bloom Twins. “The instrumental makes you dance, but the lyrics hit deep. We’re so excited to share it with the world.”

About Reinier Zonneveld

When it comes to stadium-sized techno, Dutch tastemaker Reinier Zonneveld reigns supreme. Known for his fast-paced, bruising beats and marathon 11+ hour live sets, he’s become the face of a new techno generation. Classically trained and holding two master’s degrees, Reinier began releasing music in the early 2010s, with his debut album Reverse Psychology dropping in 2013. After standout releases on Stil vor Talent, such as the single ‘Things We Might Have Said’, he launched his own label, Filth On Acid, in 2017 – now a global powerhouse nearing its 200th release. His 2023 album Heaven Is Mad (For You) featured breakout tracks like "Dance With The Devil" (16M+ streams) and "Move Your Body To The Beat" (29M+). Reinier’s fearless collaborations span Alok to Carl Cox, reflecting his genre-defying spirit. Always pushing boundaries, he’ll debut a 10-hour B2B live set with his AI twin at the 2025 R² Festival. For Zonneveld, the future of music is immersive, experimental, and unapologetically raw.
