Monday 4 November, 2024 – London, UK - Genre-defying drum and bass artist Andy C today released highly anticipated track ‘Positions’ featuring vocalist whoismoli, out on Armada Music.
The track drops just ahead of his headline "ALIVE 3.0" show at Drumsheds this Friday, 8th November, where he'll perform for the first time with an innovative hologram backdrop, introducing the technology as part of his live proposition.
Often hailed as the “Godfather” of drum and bass, Andy C shows no signs of slowing down. The English DJ and producer is hot on the heels of his successful linkup with Becky Hill, ‘Indestructible’, which secured a Top 20 spot in the UK Official Dance Singles Chart and reached #8 on Global’s Official Big Top 40 chart. His latest releases ‘Punk’ and ‘Home in that Bass’ both climbed the Beatport charts, reaching #10 and #3 in the Drum & Bass Top 10 respectively, as well as securing spots in the overall Top 100.
On the track, Andy C said: “I’ve been road testing this all summer and the instant feedback from the crowds has been amazing. Whoismoli is gifted with an incredible voice that expresses the song so well. I’m really happy how it’s turned out and to be able to release it with the mighty Armada is an honour!”
"Working on ‘Positions’ has been an amazing journey,” added whoismoli. “It’s so cool to see how much the song has evolved from the early stages to what it’s become now. I’m really proud of it, and I love how powerful it makes me feel. The song is all about reclaiming your strength—about reaching a place where, even if something that once hurt you resurfaces, it no longer has the power to affect you. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Andy. Seeing videos of him performing it live has been surreal, and I hope the audience will love it just as much as I do."
Doubling down on sheer infectiousness with a killer melody and an equally potent vocal performance from whoismoli, ‘Positions’ effortlessly secures its place as a standout track in Andy C’s arsenal of dance floor weapons. Featuring heavily in his sets throughout the summer, the track is already an eagerly anticipated fan-favourite.

The man mysteriously known to most as Andy C. undoubtedly is one of the most important figures in drum'n'bass' evolution. He was there at the dawn of the '90s when drum'n'bass was still hardcore techno, honing his talents as a DJ. Then, in 1992, just as drum'n'bass was beginning to blossom, he formed Ram Records with Ant Miles. The label quickly became one of drum'n'bass' driving forces, releasing a plethora of 12" EPs featuring many of the genre's leading producers. As part of the duo Origin Unknown with Miles, Andy C. produced one of Ram's many landmark tracks, "Valley of the Shadows." Released in 1993, the track quickly became not only an anthem but also a classic, being remixed and re-released repeatedly. Later in the '90s came more Origin Unknown tracks; in addition, Andy C. joined forces with Shimon and Miles to form the much-celebrated supergroup Ram Trilogy. Throughout all his success, the man known to only a select few as Andy Clarke managed to remain for the most part anonymous and, as a result, considerably mythical -- an iconic figure within the insular and manic U.K. drum'n'bass scene -- known to even his fans as only Andy C. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
Some artists transcend genre, seamlessly blending sounds, moods, and styles, surprising audiences at every turn. Enter whoismoli, the latest incarnation of songwriter Moli, who embodies this musical fluidity. From her early ventures into soul and disco-infused pop to her recent feature on Andy C’s track “Positions,” whoismoli is a storyteller who thrives on collaboration and creative exploration.
With over 120 songwriting credits, including global hits like Breaking Me by Topic and A7S—a song that earned her a BMI Pop Award in 2021—Moli has crafted a strong reputation within the industry. Her work spans genres, driven by an innate curiosity and a passion for pushing boundaries. Now, as whoismoli, she steps into the spotlight, bringing a renewed focus on self-expression through her unique voice and songwriting talent.
Moli’s journey began in Belgium, where she first gained attention as a teenager with her debut EP. But it was in Berlin that she truly found her stride as a songwriter, collaborating with artists across the musical spectrum. “Writing for others opened me up to different genres, allowing me to explore beyond my own releases,” she explains. Her versatility and dedication have earned her hundreds of millions of streams, making her a sought-after writer for both rising stars and industry veterans.
After her time in Berlin, whoismoli moved to London, a shift that reconnected her with her roots and sparked a new wave of inspiration. “London reignited something in me,” she reflects. “It brought me closer to the sounds I grew up with, pushing me to think even more creatively.” It was here that she began experimenting with more underground sounds, ultimately leading to her collaboration with drum-and-bass icon Andy C on “Positions.”
As whoismoli, Moli embraces a fearless and fluid approach to music. Drawing on a diverse palette of influences—from the raw energy of punk rock to the emotional depth of Phoebe Bridgers—she’s in a constant state of evolution. “Collaboration has always been at the heart of my creative process,” she says, describing it as a deeply intuitive partnership. “It’s about finding people who understand your language and where you're coming from.”
Her love for storytelling is evident; each song she writes explores human emotion. “Love is the biggest source of inspiration,” she shares, reflecting on the universal themes that fuel her art. “As artists, we’re always seeking validation—not just from success, but from the love we receive for what we create.”
