September 6, 2024 – "Don’t talk about it, be about it," declares the main hook of the highly anticipated new track by long-time friends and collaborators Patrick Topping and Green Velvet. Premiered during their recent back-to-back set at Hï Ibiza, ‘Mad Motion’ instantly electrified the crowd, proving to be the ultimate peak-time club anthem. Featuring an edgy vocal hook delivered by Green Velvet himself, a pounding beat, and thick synth riffs, the track captures the essence of their original collaboration while reflecting each artist's evolution in sound.

Patrick Topping expressed his enthusiasm for the release, stating, "'Voicemail' was a landmark moment for both of us, so reuniting a decade later for 'Mad Motion' feels full-circle. We aimed to create something that not only references our original track but also showcases how we've grown as artists."

Green Velvet added, "Patrick and I have always had great chemistry in the studio, and 'Mad Motion' is proof of that. This track channels the same energy as 'Voicemail' but with a fresh twist that I hope people are going to love. It’s all about evolving while staying true to the vibe people know us for. The crossover of Patrick’s unique sounds–or “toppings” as I like to call them–and the vocal elements are what makes this track really special."

‘Mad Motion’ is available now on Armada Music.

About Green Velvet

This music industry legend, trailblazer, and currently one of the hottest DJ’s and producers on the underground electronic music scene...Green Velvet... came into existence more than 25 years ago. In 1993 Green Velvet launched Relief Records and since that time has been a constant presence in the industry. When this very eccentric, green Mohawk wearing Green Velvet emerged, he sent shock waves throughout the House and Techno music scenes. What was even more intriguing was his background. Born in the southern suburbs of Chicago, IL he has always been an active athlete and focused student determined to follow his dream of becoming a chemical engineer. While he excelled scholastically he was socially introverted, but always committed to finding ways to share his enthusiasm for living. Even today, more than 25 years later...it is difficult to go to any electronic music festival or set and not hear music from Green Velvet/Relief Records. Crowds everywhere sing along when notable hits like: Bigger than Prince, Flash, La La Land, Lazer Beams, Live Stream, Preacher Man, Shake and Pop, Sheeple, Suga, and Voicemail, are blasting across the airwaves. Part of the history of Green Velvet and Relief Records is all about the Love.... Love of the music...Love of the fans...Love of other artists. The history of great releases on the label and artists speak to this.
