ARTY ENTERS NEXT ARTISTIC ERA WITH NEW SINGLE: ‘LISTEN TO ME’

July 21, 2023 – Those who’ve been following every move of ARTY know he has never been one to be confined to a single style of music, and the acclaimed LA-based DJ and producer, also known under his trance-focused moniker ALPHA 9, is doubling down on his explorative approach in the studio. Today, he ushers in the next era of ARTY with a new single, aptly titled ‘Listen to Me’.

After two exhaustive years of studio work on his ALPHA 9 project and touring the album for three months across North America, the only thing ARTY dreamt about was taking a long break from music. Even before then, ARTY knew he wanted to shift gears and focus completely on taking a new artistic direction.

With an extensive repertoire in the same frame of a few specific genres, ARTY wanted to push himself out of his comfort zone and try styles he’s never tried before. ‘Listen to Me’ sees the producer move away from his signature progressive house output to embrace a new sound exploring further into stutter house, deep house and future bass. Featuring trademark chords, standout vocal lines and a commanding beat, 'Listen to Me’ signifies the start of a new sonic journey– and teases what’s to come.

ARTY reveals, “I’m taking a leap and going into the unknowns with my new music, but I want to share this ride with my fans, and I believe we’re about to have a lot of joy together. ‘Listen to Me’ marks an entirely new chapter in my career and it’s only the beginning for bigger and greater things to come. While it’s been extremely overwhelming to see and hear the reaction of my fans and listeners, more than anything, I’m beyond happy to share this new single with you all.”

‘Listen To Me’ is ARTY’s first release on Armada Music since his master and publishing catalog were acquired by the label’s recently launched dance music investment company, BEAT Music Fund. With this new venture, BEAT will be able to optimize and reinvigorate the catalogs of ARTY and ALPHA 9 while aiding in their continuation and honoring their legacy.

Ultimately, this next era of ARTY is for his fans – old and new. He adds, “the most important thing to me is that we’re about to experience it together."
