June 9, 2023 – After amassing a billion views across social platforms with their playful musical content, electro-pop outfit Supermassive, comprised of Simon Aubert and Edgar Joly, have made their debut on Armada Music with ‘Rockstar’ (feat. Ben Boas). The French pair have built a sizeable fan base with both their standout productions and savvy social skills, and now double down on their efforts with this latest output from the viral DJ duo.
‘Rockstar’ is the first single from Supermassive’s forthcoming EP, releasing this September on Armada Music. The track combines a summer-scented production with the robust vocal performance of Ben Boas for an infectious tune that flaunts their signature sound, sure to have crowds singing about living life to its fullest at the top of their lungs.
On ‘Rockstar’, Supermassive says “this track came about during an artistic residency in a small Spanish town, where we frequented the only bar in the village. We quickly became acquainted with the bartender, Ben, who revealed his musical talents during one of our evening conversations. We recognized the opportunity to collaborate, and invited Ben to join us in our creative process. A full day and night of intensive work later, and we successfully composed ‘Rockstar’ with Ben’s impressive vocals at the helm.”
Followed by over 4 million people worldwide, Supermassive, composed of Simon Aubert and Edgar Joly, defines as both an electro-pop music group and as creators of unique and fun musical content. Since 2020, they have been combining music and comedy within their videos, racking up over 1.3 billion views, 10 million streams across platforms, and collaborations and partnerships with numerous major brands and sponsors.
