TRANCE WAX MAKES ARMADA MUSIC DEBUT

April 14, 2023 – Today marks a new era for electronic artist Trance Wax as he debuts on Armada Music with latest single: ‘Open Up The Night’. The first in a series of singles to be released this year on the legendary dance music label, this latest piece of studio output is just a slice of the outcome of two years of cross-genre experimentation from this sought-after talent who has built up a cult following in recent years owing to a number of sell-out limited-run white label vinyl.

Spearheaded by dark sound effects, heavy drops and a nostalgic vocal sampled from Terrence Parker’s ‘Open Up Your Spirit’, this techno-leaning club record sits at just one end of the spectrum of what’s to come from Trance Wax in 2023. Off the back of months of exploration into various genres and themes, these upcoming singles will allow listeners to delve into not only trance but the likes of drum & bass and breakbeat.

“This record marks the beginning of a new era for me as an artist,” says Trance Wax. “I’m so happy to be releasing it on the legendary Armada Music, a label that has been on my bucket list for a long time. They really saw the vision for the new sounds I’ve been experimenting with and I’m looking forward to releasing more of these tracks throughout the rest of the year.”

About Trance Wax

Trance Wax, the alias of Belfast-based producer Ejeca, burst onto the scene in 2016 with his anonymous techno and breakbeat edits of classic trance tracks. He recognized the genre could be adapted for modern dance floors and began making his own edits, distributing them as limited-run white labels that would sell out in a matter of hours every time. Fast forward to 2020, and Trance Wax released his debut album on Anjunabeats, which featured his first solo productions. The album quickly sold out of vinyl and earned editorial success on streaming platforms as well as regular accolades on BBC Radio 1.
